More relatives
I met some new people from my family today. Grandma Doris came to visit and she brought her some people with her. First was my Aunt Stephanie. I told you about her before. She visited me in the hospital when I was born. Aunt Stephanie lives in Wisconsin but Grandpa says she's not a 'Cheesehead' because she lives in Madison with all the hippies. I don't know what a Cheesehead or a hippie is but I want to go visit Aunt Stephanie so I can find out.
Another person who came with Grandma Doris was Aunt Sarah. She is very nice and she is going to have a baby soon. I hope it's a girl like me. Aunt Sarah and Aunt Stephanie are my Mom's sisters.
The best part was when I met my cousin Celia Mae. Celia is only 2 years old so she isn't much older than me. When I get a little older, Celia is going to teach me lots of stuff that she knows. I'm so happy to have a cousin that's almost my age.
Well, everybody passed me around and laughed a lot and took pictures like they usually do. I'm getting used to it so I usually catch a nap while they are passing me around.
I have to go now, time for dinner and maybe a swing ride while Dad does his income taxes. I don't know what that is but he doesn't seem too happy about it.

Another Surprise
Well, I found out what the big surprise is. I have an Uncle Phil!
He's not as good as the pony I was hoping for but he's pretty nice anyway and he has a funny haircut.
He goes to college in Chicago and drives an ambulance. He says he doesn't have to drive real fast because all of his customers are old people and almost dead anyway.
He has a real nice girlfriend named Amy who came to visit me too. She smells nice and doesn't talk real loud.
Everyone came over to our house Saturday night and Dad cooked some ribs. I don't eat ribs, I like what Mom serves better. Besides, I don't have any teeth to eat ribs with.
Here are some pictures of me and my Uncle Phil and Amy.

Another surprise
I heard Mom and Dad say that there was going to be another surprise for me today. I can't wait to find out what it is. The Duffy surprise was really great. I wonder if it's a pony?

A BATH and a Visit to the Doc
Today was pretty exciting.
When I woke up, Mom said she was going to give me a BATH! I wasn't sure what a bath was but it sounded like fun. Well, it was fun but it was kinda cold too. Mom put me on the kitchen table on a towel. Then she got some water and rubbed it all over me to wash me up. After she finished, she wrapped me up in a nice warm blanket. That really felt nice after that bath thing. A bath wakes you up too. I didn't feel like a nap after that. I wonder if Mom gives Dad a bath on the kitchen table. I think he's too big.
After the bath, Mom and Dad bundled me up and put me in the tripseat so I knew I was going someplace in the car. While we were riding in the car, Mom said that we were going to a place called the Doctor's Office so my doctor could examine me. I didn't know I had my own doctor but that's ok with me.
We went in the Doctor's Office and waited for a while and then a lady came out and called my name. I think she was a nurse but not a nurse like my Dad. She took us into a little room and told Mom to take off all my clothes. Mom took off my clothes, even my diaper. Boy, it sure was cold in that room; and bright too. Pretty soon the doctor came in and said, "Hello Shannon, my name is Doctor Doris". She was really nice and her hands were warm too. I thought she would be nice because Doris is the name of my Iowa grandma and she's nice too.
The nurse put me on a scale with no clothes on (me not the scale). Doctor Doris said I gained a little weight already and I'm doing pretty good. It's funny but I don't feel any heavier. Doctor Doris was asking Mom and Dad a lot of questions and telling them stuff but I don't know what they were talking about.
After Doctor Doris got through checking me out, Mom put my clothes back on and Dad put me in the tripseat so we could go back home.
That's all I know about the trip to see Doctor Doris.
When we got back home I was tired and hungry so I had a snack, got a lick from Duffy and went to bed.
Grandpa put some pictures here so you can see what this bath thing is like.

Super Bowl Sunday
Today is the big day for the trip to Grandma's house. Mom and Dad dressed me up nice and warm and put me in the CarSeat to ride in Dad's Car. I like the CarSeat because it's soft and warm - and dark. There is a cover that goes over my head so I can catch a little nap when I'm in the car. I don't know if I'll like having the cover on when I'm awake though.
After a short ride we got to Grandma's house. We went inside and Dad and Grandpa put together something they called a PortaCrib for me to sleep in when I'm visiting. It didn't look too hard to put together but I think they had some trouble because they were saying some new words that I never heard before. I'll have to remember the new words for when I start talking.
Dad brought some food called ribs that he made at home. They smelled kind of smokey and I don't think I would like that kind of food. I really only like one kind of food but I'm not too picky. Either side will do.
I took a nap while Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad ate the food. After they ate, we all went downstairs to watch the Big Game. I don't know anything about the Big Game but I think Grandpa liked the guys in the green suits. Dad liked the guys in the white suits because he went to high school with one ot the white suit guys.
I took a nap for the first half and woke up for a snack at halftime. Some old man was playing guitar but I think he was faking. There were lots of lights and pretty colors though. After the snack, I sat with Grandma for a while and took another nap.
Dad and Grandpa said the game was pretty good but like I said, I don't know much about football. Besides, the green suit guys probably would have won if that McNabb guy hadn't choked.
After the game we packed up and headed back home. Time for a snack. And maybe a nap.
Grandpa posted some pictures from the party at the Big Game.
